NYC shows, end of tour, and updates.
Dear everyone,
Just wanted to let you guys know my arm is doing much much better. Lots of rest, ibuprofen, a visit to an orthopedist, and some acupuncture have all been invaluable in getting this little tendon back in shape. No amputations necessary. Your kind words of support have been so helpful during this time, and I can't thank you all enough. An update on the cancelled Midwest shows (Minn, Chi, St. L.). We are attempting to reschedule these shows for sometime during early summer, but hang with me because it takes some time to move schedules around. Stay tuned. So, rescheduled shows notwithstanding, this weekend will mark the end of the traveling freak guitar show. It began on Feb 23 at MOMA, where I had four guitars and zero clue as to what to do with them. After putting myself up to this strange challenge (harp guitar! 7 string! Freak banjo!!) I now have seven guitars a show that I can play with confidence, plus some rad new songs. It's been a wonderful, frustrating, exiting, and painful journey, and I thank all of you who were willing to go with me on it. NYC I highly recommend that you come out Thurs and Fri to City Winery, as this show will most likely never happen again in this format. As a special bonus I am going to play the first song from Legs to Make Us Longer entitled "Frame." This is a song that requires four guitars on stands in front of me, all ringing at the same time. Do you really want to miss that??? Computer says 'NOOOOOOOO.' Make sure and get there early for Abandoned Lighthouse (Timmy Mislock). I'm sitting on his futon right now. He says he can't wait to meet you, too.Love, kakiOn Tour
